Our Space

The CAS is located within Public Space One (PS1)'s Close House location at 538 S. Gilbert St. Iowa City, IA 52240.

Our reading room/archive is adjacent to PS1's gallery and performance space and studio spaces for other local artists and organizations including the LGBTQ Iowa Library. CAS artists-in-residence stay in a private apartment onsite and have access to the reading room/archive, in addition to PS1's exhibition/screening space and community studios: the Iowa City Press Co-op and the Media Arts Co-op.
